PDF markups can take different forms on documents – from shapes, callouts, and highlights to strikethroughs, stamps, and underlines. These editing features are typically used on documents such as financial reports and contracts in the office or on ebooks and digital textbooks to mark important pieces of information. In many cases, however, these markups are not intended to be permanent features on a PDF document and often need to be removed.
Removing markups should generally be as easy as putting them on. Many applications used to insert markups often don't have tools for undoing it and usually require users to download additional software to remove these markups. Therefore, when looking for an application to add and edit markups, always ensure you can remove all markups from PDF on Mac at once using the same tools. This will not only save you money but the hassle that comes with installing multiple PDF tools on your computer.
Wondershare PDFelement for Mac is a PDF tool that includes multiple features but is easier to use. It features a more intuitive and simplistic interface, which helps users to easily navigate through the program's many features.
Aside from the ability to add and edit annotations, PDFelement for Mac is also used to insert and edit footers, headers, watermarks, hyperlinks, bookmarks, and bates numbers on PDF documents. You can also use the program to secure your documents by adding passwords and permissions, digital signatures, and redactions on your documents. Once you have the document in the program, locate the "Markup" button on the Home window and click it. This launches a small sub-menu to the right of the interface. To show all the markups on the active document, click on the "Eye" icon just at the top of the markup side menu. To remove all of them, click the "Trash" icon.
On the options box that appears, tick "All" to select all the markups and then click "Remove" to remove them. This removes the sticky notes, shapes, callouts, links, highlights, text boxes, stamps, strikethroughs, pencil marks, underline, and comments from your document.
