1. First, you will need to download one of the samples from the links above, and once that is done you will need to make sure that you add your name and the name of any agent which you want to hand Limited Power of Attorney to. Depending on the template you use, you might need to add more or less information, but most of the time you will have to add your name and the name of the agent.
2. Once that is done, you will need to move onward and make sure that the clauses in which the document can be used are stated clearly. You need to make sure that you add in as many situations in which you think that the need of an agent might be required, so keep that in mind because such cases can appear and thus you have to be ready.
3. Depending on the state, the Limited Power of Attorney can include more or less information, but most of the time it will be focused on adding in a specific set of info in regards to the situations in which the authority can be granted.

5. Once these are added, you and the agent will need to sign, but keep in mind that the signatures of two witnesses are also required, as they will make the document be complete at the end of the day! Also, you can’t use the document unless it’s signed by 2 witnesses as well, so keep it in mind.
In the Limited Power of Attorney you can find the exact limitations and the type of authority that the agent has. The principal will list all the matters on which the agent will be able to have any authority, not to mention the fact that all limitations are chosen by the principal. These can cover a single process or multiple ones, it’s up to the principal to choose this.
1. If you are the principal that creates the Limited Power of Attorney, make sure that you include all the situations in which the document might be needed. Of course, adding the proper limitations is also a necessity, otherwise you might find that the document will not work as you expected, which is truly unfortunate.
2. If you need medical planning, add such a clause in the Limited Power of Attorney. This might not sound like much, but it’s very important especially if you decide that you need healthcare attention later on.
3. Lastly, you need to choose an agent that you trust. Even if there are plenty of persons that you can hand the Limited Power of Attorney to, the reality is that you need to work with someone trustworthy, otherwise you might not be able to obtain the results you want. It all comes down to the attention that you want to place and the high quality experience that’s needed in such a situation.
