How to Convert PDF to RTF on Mac (El Capitan and Sierra Included)

What is Rich Text format? It is a cross-platform format developed by Microsoft that can be viewed on any Word processor or application. This then makes it easier to share text files on the Internet and on different operating systems. On the hand Portable Document Format (PDF) is known for its portability and compatibility. If you have PDF files on your computer and you want to add some modification to it then you can convert to an editable format such as Rich Text. This article shows you how to convert PDF to RTF on Mac.

Now, download and install PDFelement on your Mac. Once you have opened the software you can then follow these steps.

Step 1. Import PDF into PDFelement

The first thing you need to do is upload the PDF to the program. On the Home window, navigate the pointer to the bottom right and you will see "Open File" button. Next select a PDF file and click on "Open" to upload it.

Step 2. Edit Your File (Optional)

Next is to make some modifications on the PDF file if necessary. To modify or delete texts, click "Edit" on the toolbar. Now move to the text field and double click it. It will be highlighted and it will now editable. You can also change the text style, font size and color.

If the file has images you can alter them. Click on the "Edit" button again and double-click on any image on the PDF file you will be able to replace, extract or delete it.

Step 3. Convert PDF into RTF

When you have edited the PDF file and you are happy, you can now convert it to RTF. At the top right you will see a "Convert" button. Click on it to activate the Conversion window. Click on the "W" button and then arrow down to get other editable formats. Choose "Rich Text Format (.rtf)". By default it will convert all the pages all though you can change if you don't want to convert all pages. After that, click on "Convert" button which will the allow you to rename your file and select a folder to save it. Finally click on "Save" button.
