The header and footer sections of most professional documents are normally meant to convey important and repetitive information. In many referencing systems, for instance, information about the author and subject of the content – such as the name of the author(s), title, and publication date – are often displayed in the header or the footer.
Headers and footers, therefore, are most significant for individuals who regularly write reports, journals, or other important documents. In the office, headers and footers can carry the company logo and/or slogan to give documents a more professional look. Students and researchers need to insert their names and document title to published work to make it easier for them to get published. In this article, I will tell you how to add PDF header and footer.

PDFelement provides a seamless process for inserting headers and footers into PDF documents. Before you can begin, download and install PDFelement if you haven’t already done so. Once you have installed the application, run through the following guide to add PDF header or PDF footer.
Launch PDFelement. On Home window, click the "Open" button at the bottom of the window to select a file from your computer. You can also right click on the document and choose "Open With > PDFelement".
Once the file has been uploaded, select "Page" from the top menu bar and choose "Header & Footer" from the submenu. Select "New Header & Footer" to insert a new header or footer.
Tips: If you need to make changes you can always go back to the Header and Footer option on the submenu bar, select "Update Header & Footer", and make the necessary changes. If you want to remove the header and footer altogether, select "Remove Header & Footer" to delete the content.
On the New Header & Footer properties box, you can customize different aspects of your header and footer. You can customize the size, style, and color of the header and footer from this window. You can also change the position of the content on the header and footer and any accompanying macros. Additionally, you can select the pages you want the header and footer content to appear by clicking on "Page Range" just above the preview pane. Once you have inserted content for the header and footer, click "OK" to see the changes on your document.
Once your changes have been implemented, always remember to save your work. You can always come back to your document to perform a number of other editing functions, including compression, conversion, or text editing.
