Making notes while reading a PDF might be tiresome writing on several papers. In this article we will show you how to take PDF notes on your Windows and Mac computer. Taking notes on your computer is easy and does not require any writing material if you have the appropriated PDF reader.
To be able to make notes on your computer you will have to install a PDF software know as Wondershare PDFelement (Wondershare PDFelement for Mac). This tool is compatible with Mac and Windows operating system. It allows you to easily annotate PDF, add watermarks, and do some editing. This tool can also manage page of your PDF file other than creating PDFs. Wondershare PDFelement is also a PDF converter, PDF form filler, compressor and others. For a clear understanding of the software here are its features.
To begin with, you must install this software on your Windows and Mac then launch it. This guide is well written to accommodate both the windows and Mac users.
For Windows platform, click on "Open" on the Home window.
For Mac platform, you will find the "Open File" button on the bottom right. Click on it and select the PDF file that you want to annotate.
You can also take PDF notes on windows using Wondershare PDFelement for Windows. On the tool bar click on "Comments" to get Sticky Note, Text Box and Typewriter comments.
For illustrate your notes you can use sticky notes. Click on "Comments" and select “Notes.” Next navigate to where you want sticky notes, click on it, and then begin making notes.
For text box, click on "Comments" and then choose "Text Box". Now, move to where you want to add notes and double click on it. When you begin typing you will see it expanded.
You can also use typewriter. Go to "Comments" and click on "Typewriter". From there go to the text field and double click on it to add comments. You can follow the same procedure for "Area Highlight" option.
At this point you will be able to see the PDF files on the programs interface. To take notes we will use the annotations of the program.
On Mac you should click on the "Markup" button. A new bar will appear. Here you will have to select what you ranging from Text Box, Sticky Notes, Text Comments, to Callouts.
To takes notes using texts comments, click on "T" icon and move to the text filed. The cursor will change to an arrow. When you click the field a circle like icon will appear, click inside it and start typing. To differentiate the notes you can change the appearance like font color on the left panel that is activated.
Next to "Text Comments" is "Sticky Notes" button. Click on it and click on where you want to add notes. Now double click on the Sticky note on text field and add make notes. You can also change the appearance on the left panel like color and opacity.
You can also do so for call out comments and texts box. To use one tool all through you can click on "Markup" select let us say "Text Comment" then on the left panel that appears scroll down and enable "Keep Tool Selected".
Wondershare PDFelement has reduced paperwork and less printing since you can take notes on your PDF file in several ways. You can sticky notes, text box and text comments among others.
