Step 1. Open Your PDF with PDFelement

After downloading and installing PDFelement, you then need to import your PDF into this program. On the Home window, navigate the cursor to bottom left and click on the "Open" button. Choose the target scanned file from your local folder and upload it by click on "Open".

Step 2. Recognize Text in Scanned PDF

When the file appears on the program, it will then be detected as a scanned document. The program will notify you to perform OCR. Click on the "Perform OCR" button on the yellow information bar. It will then prompt you to select the OCR recognition language. Choose the language that matches your scanned PDF and proceed. The program will instantly perform OCR on PDF file and make it editable.

Step 3. Edit Text in PDF

After that open the file that has been recognized by PDFelement, you can then click the "Edit" tab to explore the editing tools.

To add or delete texts click on the "Edit Text" button. You will then move the cursor to the desired page and right click to begin adding or deleting texts. To modify images, you can click the "Edit Objects" button to make changes. Once everything is set right, you can now save your document.
