Step 1: You can get the IRS Form 1023 from the official website of Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service or you can simply search for IRS Form 1023 in Google.
Step 2:Download the form and open it using Wondershare PDFelement after installation is complete.
Step 3: Start filling Part I. Part I is titled as Identification of Applicant. The personal information of the applicant must be filled in this part. Enter the details form line 1 to line 6; it is simply filling up the basic information like Name, Address, Employee Identification number etc. Lines 7 to 12 are simple questions which you need to answer as ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

Step 6:Start filling Part VIII. This part is titled as Your Specific Activities. You can easily answer the questions from line 1 to line 22 as ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Start filling Part IX, which is titled as ‘Financial Data’. Fill section A, by entering all the values related to Statement of Revenues and Expenses, on line 1 through line 22. Section B is titled as ‘Balance Sheet’. You have to enter all the amounts from the balance sheet for your most recently completed financial year.
Step 7:Start filling Part X, which is titled as ‘Public Charity Status’. On the part you have to answer the entire questions from line 1 to line 7 appropriately. On the next part, Part XI, you have to answer questions in line 1 to line 3. At the end of this part you have to provide your signature and date to make a declaration that all the information provided are true, correct and complete.
Step 8: After providing signature, there are many Schedules which need to be filled by answering questions and entering values. Schedule A is titled as ‘Churches’ you have to answer all the questions in this part as ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. Schedule B is titled as ‘Schools, Colleges, and Universities’, answer all the questions appropriately.
Schedule C is titled as ‘Hospitals and Medical Research Organizations’, complete this part by answering all the questions. Schedule D is titled as ‘Section 509(a)(3) Supporting Organizations’, move to the next Schedule after completing this part . Schedule E. is titled as ‘Organizations Not Filing Form 1023 within 27 Months of Formation’, this part must be filled carefully. Similarly fill up, Schedule E, F, G and H, to complete the form.
