It is much easier to make a PDF form from a template than start from scratch. In this case, before you begin to make your PDF form, try to download a similar PDF form from the Internet or from our template page. After downloading, run PDFelement and click "Open" to import the template you've downloaded.
If the PDF template you're using is a form with interactive fields, the program will automatically detect it. You just need to click the "Highlight Fields" button on the top and then click to type in text; If it's non-interactive form, click the "Add Text" button under the "Edit" tab and place the text block where you want it to be and type in text.
If you want to start creating your PDF form from a blank document, you need to go to the "File" menu and choose "New". Then you need to add interactive fields such as text field, buttons and lists etc. Go to the "Forms" tab select an item you need and move mouse over the PDF form to draw it.
After you add an interactive field, you can click the "Edit Form" button and then double click any item to enable the Properties setting dialogue box on which you are able to set style, name and layout for the added field.
Note: All the tools in the "Forms" menu are for interactive fields creating & editing, data importing and exporting. To use these tools, you should click the "Edit Form" to enable the editing mode.
