Microsoft has decided that by default, Windows 10 use Edge Web Browser to view PDF files. ‘So far so good’, would be the first thing striking your mind probably, considering its fancy reputable interaction with Cortana, the so-called virtual lady assistant! Let’s get into more details.
When for the very first time you double-click on a PDF file in Windows 10, a dialogue box asks you if you want to open it with the default option, which is the Edge Web Browser. You heard all the good-for-nothing talk about web page annotations capability incorporated with Edge and that you can write notes and share them with your friends on social networks? Well, that's just hen talk, at least when it comes to viewing a PDF offline inside of Edge. The rendering speed is not bad at all which is not a particular perk.
The only thing you can do is select parts of the PDF and copy them! When you right-click on the selected parts, the only available option is "copy"! That’s a shame for the default PDF viewer of an OS of this scale. On the top right side, there is this little Pencil tool that reads "make a web note" and when you click on it, you actually receive an error! That's all you can get from Windows 10's default PDF Viewer!
Don’t be disappointed with Windows 10 already! Well, to answer your question, I would suggest downloading a third-party PDF Viewer & Editor, an application that would be inexpensive, reliable, fast, with a good support team to hold your back under all circumstances and most importantly be compatible with your beautiful Windows 10.
Wondershare PDFelement is a simple, yet advanced and fully functional PDF Viewer and Editor by means of which, you can easily create, edit, convert, sign and conduct OCR on PDF files. It transforms the way you work with PDF documents.
