How to Insert Signature in PDF

It is not at all cases that you receive printed documents that you need to add your signature. In some cases you may receive a document online that requires you to insert signature and you may not have time to print it out and scan it. In this article we are going to look at how to insert signature in PDF with e-sign and digital ID.

Part 1The Program for Inserting Signature into PDF

To insert a signature into a PDF accurately and without hassle, then you need to use Wondershare PDFelement. This tool is easy to use and more so, it provides you with several options on how you can sign your PDF file. You can either insert a signature from a captured photo, an existing image, draw a signature, type a signature, or you can insert digital signature into your document. What other features does this software present:

Part 2How to Insert Signature to PDF

After looking at its features we can now look at how to add signatures. First you need to download the software on your computer and install it. Thereafter follow these steps.

Step 1. Open PDF

Once you have opened PDFelement on your computer, you need to upload the PDF that you want to sign. On the Home window move the cursor to the bottom left and click on the "Open" icon. On the window that appears select your PDF file and upload it.

Step 2. Insert Electronic Signature in PDF

Now that you have opened the file with the program now let us see how to sign it. Go to the "Comment" tab and click "Create Stamp". Then select "Create Custom Stamp" from the drop-down list. In the pop up window, click "Select Picture" and load your signature. After it's imported, click the "Stamp" button under the "Comment" tab to apply your e-sign.

Step 3. Insert Digital Signature in PDF

Go to "Protect" on the main menu and click on "Sign Document" button. A new window will pop up that prompts you to add digital ID, if you have an existing ID well and good. Just browse and upload it.

If you don't have a digital ID, you can then create one. After that, go back to the main menu click on "Protect > Place Signature". Next, you need to select the text field to apply the signature. From there enter the digital signature you created and click on "Sign" to apply it on the document.
