Launch PDFelement on your computer. Open the PDF that you want to redact by clicking the "Ope"n button. Mac users need to click the "Open File" button to load a file.
For removing or redacting the information, click on the "Protect" tab on the top menu bar to open up the redaction tool. Click on the "Mark for Redactions" option, it will allow you to select the area for redaction.
For Mac users, click the "Redaction" button located on the upper right side. Then use your cursor to drag a rectangle on the area you want to hide.
You can also set the appearance of the redaction box using the Gear icon in the top right corner. Alternatively you can right click the redaction area and choose Properties. The redacted area can be coloured using different shades. You can also add any type of custom text and even redaction codes on the redacted area by ticking the Overlay Text option. Finally click "Apply Redactions" to hide individual or company sensitive information.
On Mac, click on the "Redaction" option will open up a side screen on the right. You can change the color of your redaction area and tick the Use Overlay Text option to add custom text or redaction codes. Finally click the "Arrow" icon next to the Redaction button to choose "Apply Redactions".
