For Mac users, you can click the "Open File" button to import your PDF into PDFelement.
From the menu bar select "Protect". Protection functions will appear. Select "Password". A dialog box will appear. You can set a password from here. There have two sections. One is for open file the other is for permission. Set the password and click "OK".
For Mac users, you can go to the right side "Protection" menu and choose "Encrypt with Password" option.
