How to Set Password for PDF

In most versions of Windows there is not any proper and accurate procedure for protecting the PDF documents. Step 1. Open the PDF You Want to Protect

Run PDFelement on your computer. Then click the "Open" button to import the PDF file that you want to protect.

For Mac users, click the "Open File" button on the Home window to open your PDF with PDFelement.

Step 2. Set a Password for Your PDF

Now click on the "Protect" tab and then the "Password" button to open password encryption option. Enter your password and click "OK" to confirm your choice.

Now in case of Mac you need to go to "Protection > Encrypt with Password" on the right menu. A security dialogue box will appear here you can set the password in order to save the PDF files from misuse. Type a strong password than retype it to confirm.
