How to Add PDF Signature with Adobe Acrobat Reader

PDF is the most widely used format for contracts, receipts and invoices these days. For a working procedure to run, you need to sign and send your PDF contracts and important files to your partners. Adobe Acrobat allows you to sign your PDF documents with a handwritten signature. In this article I will teach you how to add PDF signature using Adobe Reader.

Part 1How to Sign PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader

Step 1. Open a PDF Document

Install Adobe Acrobat and open the desired PDF document that you want to add your signature to by clicking the "Open" button.

Step 2. Sign a PDF in Adobe Reader

To add your signature to a form without printing and signing in the paper, click the "Sign" icon in the menu. This will open a sub-menu. Click "Place Signature" in the sub menu. You have four options while inserting your signature using Adobe Acrobat:

  • Type your name and choose from Acrobat’s styles
  • Draw your own signature using your mouse
  • Upload an image of your own signature as you wish
  • Use a webcam to capture your handwritten signature on a paper.

Once you have found the signature style that suits you best, click "Apply". Move your mouse to the location you want to put your signature style into. Reposition as you desire.

Part 2 How to Sign PDF without Adobe Reader
