An Internal Memo is a type of memo wherein some issues or announcement is written. Everything that is included in the memo has nothing to do with the company’s clients or outsiders and is containing issues and things that are concerned with the people in a specific group. It is used as a great way of communicating within the group. It can be about an upcoming event, an issue, some changes or anything that the staffs and employers are going to be concerned about. Internal Memos could be sent through mails into team leaders and then post it on a bulletin board afterwards or maybe even send to every staff of the group.
Just like any other memos, they vary in format but they must consist of correct and accurate contents. An Internal Office Memo should have a header and sub header mainly To, From, Date and Subject. It is also optional to put a CC or a carbon copy for a co-manager of the company. An Internal Memo should convey a body or the message with an introduction, main points or discussion and a closing remark as optional. It should emphasize an issue with clarity and the words used must be in a neutral tone. Upon making an Internal Memo it should be printed in a clean paper and the details must be direct. It can be made up of few paragraphs or up to two pages depending on the topic.
Creating an Internal Memo could be easy as pie but one should not forget the purpose of the memo and its content. Here is a step by step procedure on how to make an Internal Memo:

Stick to the basic format of the memo to ensure a good and efficient communication. State the ideas or information clearly.

Consider using bullets when enumerating to clearly separate each point of view. Use the correct words for the audience. If the audience is a co-worker then a not so formal or deep words is necessary. If the memo is meant for the bosses or employers, make sure respective words.

A person in charge of writing the memo could use a readymade template that can be downloaded from the internet but make sure to fully edit the template as your own.

Make sure to use the company’s template if they have provided it initially. It is best to use this since it has the company’s watermarks and logos making the memo exclusive for the organization.

Proofread before sending the memo to correct any mistakes and errors. It should grammatically correct and free of wrong spellings.
