The softball score sheet template can help the scorekeeper to keep a record of the runs of a softball game. You can create your own softball score sheet template and customize it as needed. You can easily create a Softball sore sheet by following certain instructions. The step by step instructions are given below.

1. Research and learn all the aspects about Softball before creating a template. You can use Microsoft word to create a template, but it is recommended that you use Microsoft excel, since many columns are required to be made.

2. At the top of the scorecard, create fields to mention the details about the game before it starts. The details for example can be like the teams playing, the starting time, the ending time, weather, etc.

3. Just below it, create the main table of the game and name it 'Batting'. There are many columns in this section of the score sheet, since there are a lot of details to be filled in.

4. Create the first column of the table to list the name and serial number of the player coming in and name it ‘Line up’. Here the names or numbers of the players are mentioned entering the field.

5. Beside the batsman column, create another nine columns and name them serially at the top as 1,2,3 up to 9. Draw the diamond notation of the pitch on each and every cell of all these columns.

6. The number of these columns can be more, usually there are seven innings. If there is a tie then, more innings are played to come to a result. Therefore create another two columns in advance to avoid hassle during the match.

7. At the end of nine columns, the runs, hits and RBI columns must be created. Beside the innings column there are many other additional columns created to record match details. You can create them if you want.

8. The next section is a small table to record details of the fielding team. The name of this section is called the Pitchers section. Create the table and name the first column as Pitcher to mention the name of the bowlers.

9. Beside the Pitchers column, make sure to create many other columns to record details of the fielding team. At the end of the scorecard, the totals section must be created to record the total score of the batting side. Save the document.
