This article will tell you how to use Foxit OCR feature on Windows and Mac.

1. With Foxit PhantomPDF, first select Home then click "Convert". Continue to tap on "OCR" then click on "Current File".
2. To choose the output type, get to "Editable Text" to make the image text editable. You may make the image text searchable by checking on "Searchable Text Image" option.
3. Thereafter click "OK" to distinguish your document. A recognition text process bar appears showing the progress.
Step 1. Open PDF File
Click on the "Open File" button at the bottom of the program. From the files shown in the window that pops up, click on "Open" to get your files.
Step 2. OCR PDF on Mac
After you've opened your PDF file with PDFelement, a "Perform OCR" option appears on the top. Click on it then choose the language for your recent PDF file so you can notice it better.
Step 3. Edit PDF (Optional)
Simply click the "Edit" button on the toolbar and choose how you want to edit your PDF.
