Part 2How to Convert PDF to Plain Text File

Step 1. Import the PDF Document

Launch Wondershare PDFelement in your computer. On the Home window, click on the "Convert PDF" button. Once you click on "Convert PDF" option, a window will appear that presents you with options.

Step 2. Convert PDF Document to Plain Text

At the top left hand side of the small window which gives you the option to "Add Files". Click on it to choose the PDF file on your computer. Once your file is selected, check the top right hand of the screen for the conversion options. You will see an option for enabling OCR and next to it is a window with an Arrow. Click on the Arrow.

You will be presented with a drop-down list with more options like, Word, Excel, HTML, TXT, JPG and so on. Choose "TXT" in this case. You will also see a small window in the middle of the conversion window prompting you to select the page ranges you wish to convert into Text format. You can click on all or specify the pages you wish to convert. Once you're satisfied, click on "Convert".
