TIF or TIFF is one of the oldest yet best quality format for the image files which contains each and every little detail of the image. Back in 1986, different companies used to save images in this format as this does not compromise on the quality of the image. However, the size of the TIF image is larger as compared to the JPEG or PNG format. Normally, scanned documents are stored in the TIF format on the old scanners to give the best quality of the scanned documents. Now, converting these TIF to PDF files have always been a problem for the Windows users as Mac OS X can save the built-in preview to save the TIF images as the PDF files.
There are plenty of converters available on the internet and most of them will work only with the PNG or JPEG images. For Mac: After opening the TIF image file, you can edit it by clicking on the "Edit" button on the main screen of the program. You can rotate, crop, resize the image or can perform OCR on the image to convert it to editable text.
For Window: After editing the PDF file, click on the "File" button in the top left corner and select "Save" and save the PDF file.
For Mac: Now, you will have to save the PDF file. Enter "Command + S" to save the PDF file on your Mac OS X. Also, you can press "Save As" in the "File" tab.
