To compress a PDF file on Mac, you need to download Wondershare PDFelement for Mac. It is compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.10 (Yosemite), 10.11 (El Capitan) and 10.12 (Sierra). Opening PDF file using this program is simple. On the program window, navigate the cursor to the bottom right and click on the "Open File" button. This will allow you access your local folders. Now search for the large PDF file you want to compress and open it with PDFelement.
Next, you can edit your PDF file. Click on the "Edit" button on the toolbar. A formatting toolbar appears with several editing options. To edit texts, navigate the cursor to a text field you want to modify texts. Double click on it and start editing files.
