Our Mac is a hub for storing documents, videos, audios, apps, and photos. When you upgrade your Mac, the process may fail and you may lose all these files. Therefore, to be safe you need to backup all these data on external hard drive. The safest way to backup files on Mac is to use its inbuilt backup machine known as Time Machine. This application does all the backup of files including the operating system. With Time Machine you can access the files according to date and month you did the backup and recover them with ease. You may be new to this time-saving machine and you have no clue on how to do the backup.

Step 1. Connect External Hard Drive

Step 2. Open Time Michine

Go to "Apple" click on "System Preferences" and then select "Time Machine".

Step 3. Start Backing up

On the Time Machine window select your disk and the process will commence immediately.
