Apple makes it easy to transfer PDF to iPad via iTunes, while no offering to backup PDF from iPad to PC/Mac. It is quite annoying, isn't it? Don't worry, man. Apple iTunes says no, but we say yes. This article is going to tell you how to transfer PDF from iPad to PC and Mac.
No matter you iPhone/iPad is jailbroken or not, you can use this method to backup all the PDFs on the devices to PC. Here I will use iFunbox which is my favorite iOS tool to manage the files on iOS. Please firstly download and install on your computer.
Connect your iPhone or iPad to PC, then start iFunbox on your desktop. After connected to your device, you will see the file list on right side of iFunbox. Click File Browser button and there is the iBooks option. Then, click on the iBooks list, you will see all the books including PDF files on your devices. Choose the PDF files to backup, drag or hold shift and click to choose files. Right click on the chosen files, and then select Copy to PC option, then select a folder on your PC to save those files.
Connect your iPhone or iPad to Mac, then start iTools for Mac. After connected to your device, there are several tabs on the iTools for Mac interface. Click Books button to see all your book. Choose the PDF files to backup, drag or hold shift and click to choose files. Right click on the chosen files, and then select Export option, then select a folder on your Mac to save those files.
No app, no transfer. To transfer PDF from iPhone/iPad to Mac or PC, you need an app named iBook, which is developed by Apple and you can download it from iTunes. iBook is an easy-to-use tool for downloading and reading ebooks. If you have download many PDF files, you can send them to your Email. In the following tutorial, I will take iPhone as an example, and it's quite the same on iPad. Here are the steps:
On your iPhone or iPad, tap iBooks. Tap Bookshelf and find the PDF file you'd like to transfer. Tap the PDF file to enter the file. Tap the Second icon close to Library to show the contents. Then, tap the icon on the top right corner. A dialog comes out. Tap Mail and choose your Email type, like Google. Then, enter your email address and touch "Send" when done.
When you transfer PDF from iPad to PC or Mac, you might need a PDF tool to read PDF, edit PDF, convert PDF, annotate PDF and protect PDF. Open your transferred PDF file in Wondershare PDFelement. Simply go to the "Edit" tab and there are multiple options for you to choose. Click the "Edit Text" button and you will enter into editing text mode. You can click anywhere of your PDF files and there will appear a text box. Then you can edit the text freely.
Click "Edit Object" under the "Edit" tab. Right click the image in your PDF and there will be a options window. You can choose "Cut" "Copy" "Rotate" "Delete" the pages.
Go to the "Page" tab and you can insert pages by clicking the "Insert" button, split PDF pages by clicking the "Split" button, rotate PDF pages by clicking "Rotate" button. There are also other features and you can choose the one you need.
