Install and run PDFelement. The Home window appears, from where you need to choose "Open" to select the file for which you want to block out sensitive text.
On Mac: Launch PDFelement, and from the Home window, click "Open File" to browse to the PDF file that you wish to redact.
After the file opens in the program, head to the "Protect" tab. From there, click the "Mark for Redactions" option. Now use your cursor to choose the data that you want to remove from the file permanently. You can pick a color to fill the redacted region from the color choices and even add custom text and redaction codes by clicking the "Gear" icon on the top right corner.
On Mac: The Redaction button locates at the top corner. Click the "Arrow" icon next to it. You will see a sub-menu pop up with different features of redaction. To block out text, select "Mark for Redaction" option. You can then mark the information that you want to remove from the document. If necessary, customize the look of redaction box on the right side.
After completing the selection procedure, click the "Apply Redactions" button from the top menu. You cannot reverse the redaction once you save the file. Under the "File" tab, select "Save As" and browse to the location where you want to save the redacted document. It is useful if you did not create a duplicate copy of the original file.
On Mac: Go to "Redaction > Apply Redactions". Then you have redacted your PDF documents successfully.
