Step 1. Open Your Document for Redaction

After installation, run PDFelement on your computer. Then click the "Open" button ("Open File" button on Mac version) to browse your local folder and select the PDF that you want to redact.

Step 2. Seletct an Image for Redaction

Go to the "Protect" tab and then choose the "Mark for Redaction". Now use your mouse to select the image you want to redact.

For Mac users, you can clcik the "Redaction" button on the top right corner and then select an image by drawing a rectangle.

Step 3. Change the Look of Redaction

After that you can select the item you want to redact, you can click the "Gear" icon on the top right corner to open the Properties window. From there, you can change the color of the redaction box, or put some text or redaction codes onto it. Finally click the "Apply Redactions" button to save the change.

For Mac users, you can click the redaction area to expand the right side Properties window. Click the color options so you can change the color of redaction area.
