Wondershare PDFelement is easy to use and it only requires you to identify parts poor pages to redact and then apply redaction. Once you have downloaded and installed Wondershare PDFelement on your Mac, follow these steps and you will thank me later. It supports Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra), 10.11 (El Capitan), 10.10 (Yosemite), 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.8, and 10.7.

Step 1. Import PDF into PDFelement

Opening PDF file with PDFelement is pretty simple. Click on "Open File" button situated on the bottom right of your home screen of the program. It will direct you to your local folders. Select the file that you want to redact its pages and then click on "Open". If you had opened the file with the program you will find it on Recent Documents panel on the right.

Step 2. Redact Single or Multiple Pages in PDF

Now move to the top right and you will see the "Redaction" button. Click on the "Arrow" button. Go ahead and select click on "Mark Pages to Redact".

A new window will appear giving you four options of pages to redact namely: Current Page, Even Pages, Odd Pages, and an option to specify a page range. Choose one that suits the pages you want to redact and click on "OK". You will the pages fully covered black. To apply the redaction, go to "Redaction" and click on "Apply Redactions".

Step 3. Modify Properties of Redaction Box

You can also edit the look of the redaction box. Click on the "Redaction" button itself. A panel will appear on the right.

To change Stroke Color click on the rectangle box and choose the color you want. Also, do so to change Color and the Fill color. You can also tick the "Use Overlay Text" option to add a customized message.
