A Volleyball score sheet is used to record the scores during a Volleyball match. The Volleyball game was first played in 1895 in the United States. It is a game in which two teams are separated by a net. Each team had six players; the main object of the game is to ground the ball on the opponent’s court. A player of one team starts the match by serving the ball to the opponent’s court. The other team then tries to ground the ball on the serving team’s court, the serving team tries to prevent grounding of the ball. The play continues this way, the team which grounds the ball, scores. The rules of Volleyball is not very complex and but requires time to completely understand them. For example time, date, venue, etc. Just below it there are two sections separating the details of each team. In the centre where both sections are separated a long score list is created to keep a record of the changing score. Below each section of the team details, there is another section to record the substitutions. Also other additional columns are seen down the page to mention the match events. The end of the score sheet, blank fields is seen to mention the name of the winning and the losing team.

Step1
First of all, you can create a Volleyball score sheet using any program like the Microsoft word, Microsoft excel, etc. Since there are many columns in a single score sheet, it is recommended to create it using Microsoft excel.
Step2
Open excel, at the top give it a heading ‘Volleyball Score sheet’ Then create a wide table to mention all the details of the match, like date, time, venue, attendance, etc. And just under this wide table create two sections and divide them equally.
Step3
On both the columns, create blank fields to mention the details of six players playing in the match. And make sure to add additional columns needed to record the scores of individual player.
Step4
Insert another column just in between where the two team sections are divided using ‘insert column’ function in excel. Write the scores list serially for both teams to tick them as the match continues; usually it ranges from 1 to 32.
Step5
Now, create another table below each team section to record substitutions and other events of the match. Create additional fields if required to mention other details the match.
Step6
At the end of the score sheet create blank fields to mention the winning and losing team. Save the document and preserve it for further use.

The score keeper must have a thorough knowledge of Volleyball rules before recording the points and constantly keep an eye on the referee for indications. The referee observes the players of the match signals any information needed to record by the scorekeeper.
