After download, open the app by clicking on the same from desktop. The screen will be default on the “Home” menu. You will see a set of icons marked as “To Word”, “To Excel”, “To PPT” and so on. Click on the icon “To Excel”. The system will prompt open a box titled “Convert TO Excel”.
On the left side of the box is a button “Add Files”. Click on this and select the files that you want to convert to excel. You can also drag and drop the files from their location onto this tab.
You have the option to choose either all pages or only specific pages for conversion. Click on the drop down next to the file name on the screen and select the pages.
You can choose the destination folder for saving the converted file by clicking on the button “Browse” at the bottom left of the dialog box. On the right side of the box, you can see that the default option of “Excel (*.xlsx)” is displayed. If you are looking to change to .xls, then click on this dropdown and change to “Excel (*.xls)” There is also an OCR button “Enable OCR” which you can use for scanned PDFs. Please note that this functionality is not available in the trial version.
Click on the button “Convert” and voila! Your files are ready in Excel. The file will be automatically opened by the PDFelement for you to edit or do changes.
If you want to tweak the settings of the excel file when converting a PDF, you can do so by clicking on the “File” menu and clicking on the option “Options”. Here, select the option “Convert” and click on the tab marked “Excel”. Here you can change the settings as required.
