How to Convert Password Protected PDF to Excel Spreadsheet

Below are the 2 steps of how to use Wondershare PDFelement to do the password protected PDF to Excel conversion.

Step 1. Import PDF Files

If you're using the Windows version of Wondershare PDFelement, you can go to the "Home" menu and choose the "To Excel" button. Then you can see a pop-up window to let you add your PDF files. Click the “Add Files” button to browse your computer to add all your password protected PDF files. Or you can drag and drop files into the window. This PDF app supports converting PDF files in batches, so you can upload an array of PDF files at a time.

If a PDF file is password protected from being opened, then after you upload it, a lock will appear on the PDF item bar. In this case, you need to enter the right password to unlock it. If the PDF is just password protected from printing, copying, or editing, just move to the next step.

Step 2. Customize the Output Excel and Convert Password Protected PDF to Excel

Now you can customize the output Excel by changing its format version in the number 3 position and customize which pages to convert in the number 5 position. If the password protected PDF files are scanned ones, you will need to tick the checkbox of “Enable OCR” in the number 4 position. After customization, click “Convert” to convert password protected PDF to excel.

Note: For the Mac version of Wondershare PDFelement, you can find the Convert button on the up right of primary window. And after clicking the button, you will also get a popup to let you add your password protected PDF files.
