When creating or editing PDF documents on Mac, many of us often find links to external websites when we copy content from the Internet. Most websites often include code that ensures users who copy-paste content from their web pages also copy website addresses or other information that links back to the original site - even if we intend to edit or paraphrase the copied information.
There are also plenty of ways which links can be used for good, such as in the reference section of an academic paper or report. Otherwise, links should be sparingly used and sometimes removed altogether. Links are usually part of a document editor's markup arsenal and are normally grouped together with highlights and text boxes. When looking to remove all links from PDF on Mac, the best tools are often stand-alone applications, despite the high number of online-based tools for the job.

This next step is pretty straightforward. On the Home menu bar above, locate and select "Markup". This launches a smaller window to the side of the Home window that allows you to edit and delete markups from your document. Next to the small "Eye" icon, you will see a "Trash" icon. When you click this icon, a small pop-up window appears with several markup options for removing markups.
In the list on that window, tick "Link" and then click "Remove". This promptly removes any links that had been attached to your document. As you see from the last dialogue box, you can permanently remove other types of markups from your documents by simply selecting the specific ones you want to remove.
