Don't worry! This evolved Start Menu with the latest release of Windows 10 not only allows you enjoy the old column style we all know from Windows 7 but also gives you an extra pane to pin your Tiles in a Windows 8 style. I can tell you, you can customize the new Start Menu just the way you want to; you can drag it to make it larger or even make it go full screen! So the bottom line is, it is interactive and lively.

2Cortana Helps You Find and Do Stuff

Do you remember VIKI (Virtual Interactive Kinetic Intelligence) from the movie "I robot"? Cortana is sort of the same assistant that has access to your applications, documents and apps you can install from the Store and is able to show web search results as well. With the help of Cortana, desktop search is faster and more reliable and the amazing thing is that you can make your Cortana interact with Jamie's Cortana next door! Before you try to look for it, make sure you have a microphone installed. All in all, Cortana is such a jack of all trades!

3Bid your Farewells to the Stuck-in-the-Past Style of the Command Prompt

This very black panel which is infamous for its inflexibility now welcomes improvements such as the possibility to use common shortcuts used for copy pasting inside of the command prompt.

4Web Browsing Revolution is on the Edge

It seems that finally it's here! With their new browser made from scratch, the programmers at Microsoft have finally come into their senses and designed a browser with a new rendering engine that not only is slick and reliable, but also it can compete with the other browsers in terms of flexibility and versatility. Synchronized with Cortana, the Edge browser allows you to write and share your notes and comments from within the browser on the spot. It has just begun its phase of development though, which makes it lack some major functions of present browsers. All in all, it's going to be a huge blow in the near future.

5Universal Applications

Down the right corner of your screen there is this new feature of Windows 10 called the Action Center which is a panel that brings all your notifications from all your devices to your face. It also recommends appropriate actions to be taken. Now you don't have to check notifications out, they will come to you!

10Documents Viewing

By default, in Windows 10, you get to open your PDF files with Edge, which is quite good if your purpose is just to read the PDF files but what if you want to annotate the PDF? By default, you cannot highlight text, add comments or have a minimal amount of interaction with the PDF i.e. you cannot fill out forms, take PDF answer sheets and so on. It looks like that you definitely have to consider using a PDF Viewer and Editor when you switch to Windows 10.
