Here are some simple steps that you have to follow in order to create password for your document completely.

Step 1. Import Your PDF

Once you open PDFelement on your computer, you are supposed to upload the PDF documents that needs to be encrypt. To do this, click the "Open" button that is situated at the bottom left. Select the desired document or file and then upload it.

If you're using Mac, click the "Open File" button that is present at the bottom right. Now select the desired PDF document. Lastly click on the "Open" icon.

Step 2. Create a Password

Once you have imported the file, click the "Protect" tab that can be seen on main menu bar and followed by the "Password" button. Then create a password of your choice (that must be a strong password including alphabets and some numerical values).

In case of Mac, move the cursor to the right side menu and then click the button named "Protection" followed by "Encrypt with Password". In the pop up window, you can either create an open password or a permission password. Lastly, click the "OK" button to reserve your security feature.
