PDF is one of the mostly used yet secure formats to send secure documents, memos, and presentations. Redacting a PDF means permanently blacking out or deleting the text, image or portion in the PDF. For example, if your PDF file has important information such as the email address, bank account number, address or any other personal information, you can simply remove that information, so no one will be able to retrieve it. Below is the instruction on how to redact PDF files.

The redaction feature in PDFelement lets you either select text or image to redact or can use the Search option to redact the same text on different pages at a time. Launch PDFelement. Click the "Open" button to import the PDF that you want to redact.
Go to the "Protect" tab and click "Mark for Redaction". Select the text you want to redact.
